Golden 1 Center

Sacramento, CA

Construction Value: $500 Million

The Golden 1 Center is the new home for the Sacramento Kings, which is located in the heart of downtown Sacramento at the demolished Downtown Plaza Mall. Golden 1 Center is LEED Gold and was envisioned as an iconic multi-use Entertainment and Sports Center (ESC) that will be an interactive “smart” building with the best in innovation and technology.

  • Signet provided all onsite inspection and testing including Cast-in-Place Concrete, Shotcrete, Precast Concrete, Floor Flatness Testing, Concrete Unit Masonry, Structural Steel Framing, UT/NDT, Spray Applied Fireproofing, Waterproofing, and Roofing Application. We had a team of inspectors that included a Resident Inspector, four full-time inspectors, and five additional inspectors for peak periods of construction.

Asian Arts Museum

San Francisco, CA

Construction Value: $85 Million

The Asian Arts Museum project was a seismic retrofit of the previous San Francisco Main Library following the Loma Prieta Earthquake. The building consists of a three-story above-grade and one level below-grade totaling 163,000 sq. ft. and is constructed of unreinforced concrete and masonry, as well as concrete-encased steel columns and beams.

  • Signet provided special inspection and materials testing services including Concrete, Welding, Proof Load Testing, Masonry, and Base Isolators.  Off-site structural steel fabrication included locations in Oakland, California, and El Paso, Texas.  We had a Resident Inspector and additional staff for more than three years of construction.

San Diego Padres Petco Park

San Diego, CA

Construction Value: $450 Million

Petco Park is the home of the San Diego Padres and was uniquely designed for the City of San Diego’s redevelopment district program across Harbor Drive from the San Diego Convention Center.  The 1,140,000 square foot stadium seats 42,500 and incorporated 2,500 tons of reinforcing steel, 61,600 cubic yards of concrete, and 9,500 tons of structural steel.

  • Signet provided special inspection and materials testing services related to Reinforcing Steel, Concrete Placement, Shotcrete, Masonry, Structural Steel, High Strength Bolting, Fireproofing, Precast Concrete Panel Fabrication, and Precast Panel Installation. We had a team of inspectors that included a Resident Inspector, three full-time inspectors, and two additional inspectors for peak periods of construction.
