The Sutter Medical Center Hospital Replacement project was designed for LEED Silver certification and consisted of a new 182,329 sq. ft., 2-story steel frame structure, which includes a Newborn Intensive Care Unit, C-section Rooms, and Recovery, while the second-floor bed tower houses Medical/Surgical Unit and Administrative Services.

  • Signet provided special inspection and material testing services including Reinforced Concrete, Reinforced Steel, Welding Inspection, Non-Destructive Testing, Floor Flatness (F-Number Measurement), Waterproofing, Fireproofing, and Dowel/Anchor installation.

The Acute Care Pavilion project at the Queen of the Valley Medical Center is a state-of-the-art 4-story structural steel frame facility 72,000-square-foot addition that enhances the quality of healthcare to Napa residents.

  • Signet provided special inspections and materials testing services for this project including Soils/AC Compaction Testing and Observation, Concrete Placement, Shotcrete, Masonry, Asphalt, AWS-CWI Structural Steel/NDT, Welding, Metal Decking, Fireproofing, and Dowel/Anchor installation.

Kaiser New Oakland Medical Center

Oakland, CA
Construction Value: $600 Million

The rebuild of Kaiser Oakland Medical Center was a state-of-the-art, environmentally-friendly, energy-efficient medical complex. The hospital consists of a 12-story structural steel frame building with 349 beds, 12 inpatient operating rooms, 8 labor and delivery rooms, an emergency department, and 100 single-occupancy rooms.

  • Signet provided special inspection and material testing services related to Soils Compaction, Soil/AGG/AC Lab Testing for on-site and offsite utility and site improvements, Pile/Pier installation, and observation, Bounded Braced Frame Fabrication, and Structural Steel.
